Is a solution out there?
If so, I want it Now!!!
Being a BlackBerry user, I have always dreamed of updating my web page from my mobile device without having to access my phone’s Web Browser.
Since my recent switch from Joomla to Wordpress CMS, I’ve been keen to see this dream become a reality. I want it so bad - it’s a top entry on my wish list (pay attention all you developers out there - there’s mileage in this)
Being a freelance consultant, always on the move, I would love a system that helps me make updates on the go efficiently - which in effect keeps my client happy.
Imagine my joy when I discovered the technology is available.
Dream come true! Even though I tried it on the ITouch first.
I was a bit miffed to realise I was so far behind the trend, corporations like the BBC, with journalist dotted all around the world have been using similar systems to deliver daily reports and breaking news for yonks.
Having said that, much to my chagrin, there currently isn’t an official BlackBerry application tailored to handle the back-end Blog postings and updates for the Wordpress platform.
This should be of no surprise to i Phone/I Touch users, as there is a Wordpress mobile back-end version available FREE from iTunes application store.
I’ve been a loyal BB user for about five years but I couldn’t resist the temptation to try Wordpress out on my wife’s I Touch. it was absolutely brilliant and very slick to operate. It gives full control of your Posts, Comments, Drafts etc. How cool is that?…Cool but not cool enough for me to give up my BB just yet.
Or more importantly, which freelance developer or organisation would be the first to develop it? I have stumbled across several discussions of a WordPress-BlackBerry client being developed.
But they have just been discussions nothing concrete or confirmed.
So the question here is, when would this be available for Blackberry users?
Solution
However, I have also come across a few mobile alternative solutions that would equally imitate the back-end of WordPress. BB Meta Blog being on of them.
Although, due to connection issues I have not been successful in getting this going.
There is no beating the convenience of being able to compose a Post from any mobile device.
Therefore, there is a strong call for the development and implementation of a Wordpress client for Blackberry devices.

Danilo….
Thanks for bringing this to my attention…It looks promising:)
However, “I keep getting Invalid server response : null” when I attempt to login.
Is there a reason for this?

Hi Danilo, I’ve got it working now.
As I suspected, my APN settings were incorrect and as a result the app wasn’t connecting to the internet.
My APN details are as follows
T-MOBILE UK
APN: general.t-mobile.uk
Username for APN: user
Password for APN: wap (or one2one)
