
Twitter is to launch its very own branded portable gadget device named Twitter Wingman
Device Specifications:
Some of the features of the Twitter Wingman will include:
- A $30 - 40 price tag with a two-year contract on Boost Mobile
- 5-megapixel camera with xenon flash and Carl Zeiss lens
- Integrated GPS with real time maps that allow you to locate other Wingmen in the area.
- Bluetooth data transfers between Wingmen.
- Dedicated hot keys for sending direct tweets, picking up new followers, and retweeting.
- Aggregation for sorting twitters from celebs, direct messaging friends, plus dedicated news and gossip tweet feeds.
- Some of the biggest twitterati like Shaquille O’Neil, John Mayer, and Ashton Kutcher are already beta testing this device.
Expected Release Date:
- Release date will be around June this year.

Oh my goodness… I can see these becoming a ‘trendy’ thing to have, and people spending even more time tippety-tapping on gadgets instead of actually doing anything!

Great! just what the world needs another gadget! i’m not too sure this will catch on actually, although i’d be happy to be wrong. My question are twitter not happy with the Facebook model of being available as an application for mobile phones, so people don’t have to lug another gadget around?

I have actually seen clips of the hardware.
It reminds me of the old T-mobile pager device.
If promoted well, it could actually take-off, but boy it has a lot of competitions.
